Garmin Public Beta Update 15.20 brings Sensor Hub update for Venu 2 Plus smartwatches

Garmin has released Public Beta Update 15.20 for the Venu 2, Venu 2s and Venu 2 Plus smartwatches. The update brings several changes to the wearables. As with the previous update, v15.12, the change log notes that a Gaming activity has been added, allowing you to track eSports with the watch.

Also included is the restoration of missing Tennis and Pickleball activities and alterations to improve the battery life of the Venu 2 smartwatches. Plus, various Connect IQ bug fixes and improvements come with version 15.20. New for this software version, and only for the Venu 2 Plus, is Sensor Hub update version 25.80; the other models appear to remain on version 25.60, provided with Beta Update 15.09. Garmin still needs to elaborate on what has changed with the new Sensor Hub firmware.

The company notes that the update should be pushed to eligible wearables automatically, with the gadget checking for the new software daily. Those who wish to install the update manually can go to Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update. Garmin requests that should users encounter a bug, they log it in the Bug Reports section of the forum. If you own a Venu 2, Venu 2s or Venu 2 Plus smartwatch and want to join the Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
